A night of folk music with local musicians Kathy Rhodes and Hope. With a combination of originals and occasional covers, collaborations and solo performance. Doors open at 7:30pm and music starts at 8pm at All Hallows church, Whitchurch in the 28th of October. There will also be a bar run for the benefit of the church.

With her soft, trippy voice, singer/songwriter Kathy Rhodes elegantly contrasts uplifting, intimate, soothing moments of calm with dynamic bursts of emotion. Prolific French author/historian, Dominique Lormier described her songs as "sublime" when he discovered her gigging in Bordeaux, where she lived and performed for several years!

Hope's love of poetry and folk music culminates in their sentimental original songs, often drawn on her own experience of mental health struggles. Their use of gentle breathy notes and strong belts creates an emotive performance recognised by musicians such as Kitty Macfarlane who she opened for in 2019.

This unlikely duo pairs beautifully for elegant vocal harmonies in a folk influenced original performance. Meanwhile, Church acoustics double up on their joint haunting sound.
