The members of Trio Bohémo are all from the Czech Republic. They met in 2019 while studying in Budapest, Hungary and quickly established their reputation as a phenomenal prize-winning ensemble.
Since 2020 Trio Bohémo has been a member of the Le Dimore del Quartetto network which later awarded the trio a prize as Ensemble of the Year 2021. Further prize-winning successes rapidly followed in Switzerland, Italy and Austria, leading to concert appearances across Europe, alongside intensive rehearsals in Prague and master classes at the European Chamber Music Academy where they gain insight from luminaries of chamber music such as Hatto Beyerle, Patrick Jüdt, Johannes Meissl, Avedis Kouyoumdjian and Dirk Mommertz.
Highlights from the 2021/22 concert season included a debut at the Vienna Musikverein and recitals at the Festival Lago Maggiore Musica in Italy, Gent Festival van Vlaanderen in Belgium, the Black Forest Music Festival and the Prague Spring Festival in their native Czech Republic.
In October 2021 Trio Bohémo won the prestigious International Parkhouse Award in London. In February 2022 they appeared on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune and went on to be selected for the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme 2022-23.
Thanks to the exceptionally generous support of Dr. Jan Telenský, Matouš plays on a very fine Matteo Goffriller violin. Kristina plays on a beautiful cello by Fausto Maria Bertucci.
