Travel on a rich musical journey with these two fine musicians, who first performed together in a Grano de Arena concert for the charity Children of the Andes in 2001, in St James’s Church, Piccadilly.
Healing Venezuela is an apolitical charity whose purpose is to help the delivery of the best possible medical assistance to the people of Venezuela through a variety of programmes, including providing medical supplies, sponsoring junior doctors, improving infrastructure in hospitals and feeding children at risk of malnutrition.
Both Adrian and Ricardo will include music from Venezuelan composers in their programmes
RICARDO GARCIA-CURBELO, from an early age, has been an eminent representative of the Latin American poetry and music culture on a wide variety of stages, both nationally and internationally. He presents a great combination of traditional pieces, together with many of his own, often spellbinding compositions on Harp, Cuatro and Vocals. Vibrant, energetic and jazzy pieces contrast with more classical, enchanting melodies.
Ricardo designs and constructs his own harps, adding to the uniqueness of his performances, which continue to take audiences by surprise!
“ He has got to be seen to be believed” (Time Out magazine)
“Ricardo, mil gracias por este hermoso recital, eres un genio de la musica y compositor extraordinario."
