Postcards from Manchester aims to bring Manchester’s DIY community uprising together under one roof for the first of many exciting ambitious all day events. From brightening the corners of Manchester’s alternative music scene to bringing you the greatest all day live music event you’ve witnessed in quite awhile!

Following in the footsteps of the inspirational event that it is Sounds from the Other City, many of the acts will be largely unknown to the man on the street. This is an alternative event for passionate music fans, delivered with a smile on everyone’s faces. Likewise the music choices aren't aimed at excluding, just to demonstrate that a Manchester independent music crowd are knowledgable, passionate and like to listen to different new music, and therefore should be given a multi-genre line-up that reflects this!

After much debate, we’ve assembled a wholesome line-up of only the most fresh, interesting and innovative alternative musicians from across the UK. There’s truly something for everyone, if you just take the chance! From pop to post-rock and all the way back again. We also actively encourage you to check out the artists for yourselves on last.fm or myspace first, as they are all very special to us.

Across 2 floors at staggering times on Saturday September 26th with many a-guest DJ in-between, Saki Bar will be the host to the above acts!

They will be staggered upstairs and downstairs from 4pm at Saki Bar, until 11.30pm. The clubnights Underachievers Please Try Harder, Asparagus Next Left and Pull Yourself Together will also be collaborating across the floors until 3.30am! (all included in the ticket price)
