Event information

Three of the UK's most exciting musicians will be playing back-to-back at this very special event at Clare Cellars. Expect cutting edge music, electronics, incredible musicianship and unbelievable technical skill.

CHRISTOS STYLIANIDES - Trumpet and Electronics

Glasgow raised, London based multi-instrumentalist Christos Stylianides has been slowly but surely making the rounds on the UK and European scene. Working closely with a host of cross-genre artists such as Jas Kayser, Maria Chiara Argiro, Daisy George and The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra to name a few

MARK CAKE - Saxophone and electronics

Norwich-born, London-based producer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ, Mark Cake, creates samplebased, improvisatory music by recontextualising and fragmenting acoustic saxophone across deep sub basses, glitching rhythms and live loops. Drawing influences from jazz, electronica and bass culture, Mark Cake, has a deft touch for creating thoughtful musical projects. As a producer and musician,

Mark Cake has worked with Joy Crookes, Tom Grennan, Speech Debelle, NeOne The Wonderer, and Shabaka Hutchings

In October 2021, Mark Cake’s single ‘Hoon’ was released on Brownswood Recordings and featured as lead single for the Future Bubblers 5.0 compilation album. The single was chosen as Mary Anne-Hobbs’ ‘Hit Reset Track of the day’ on her BBC Radio 6 show Music From The Near Future.

JOSHUA BLACKMORE (drums) with CHRIS SHARKEY (guitar)

Drummer Joshua Blackmore (SiZE, Troyka, Strobes), teams up with inventive guitarist and electronic artist, Chris Sharkey (Roller Trio, Acoustic Ladyland, trioVD).

With a mix of improvisation and select pieces from Joshua's SiZE project, expect a unique blend of organic rhythms and electronic wizardry filled with angular riffs and euphoric synth layers.
