Following a series of explosive gigs across the city featuring folk's brightest new stars, Almanac's electric mix of musicians and artists has gained a justly deserved cult following. Expect trad folk, alt folk, songs old and new, and some very exciting collaborations in this musical and visual feast. Artists include Andy Hickie (“This troubadour will do North Wales proud”, BBC Radio 1), Lizzie Nunnery (Performer of the year, Fatea Folk Awards 08), singer/harpist Nula Mathers, cross genre multi instrumentalists Temple Fire, combining their Scandinavian, Celtic and Eastern folk influences; plus the folk pop majesty of Atlantic Massey. More to be announced...
"The value of such an innovative folk night in Liverpool cannot be over-emphasized. It brings our community of singers and instrumentalists that bit closer, and reminds us of the true value of our craft. I can't recommend it enough.”
John Smith
