NYE: 2009!

Returning to The Social after hosting NYE 4 years ago with guests including The Rumble Strips and Young Knives. Rockfeedback, Transgressive Records and Heavenly Jukebox have teamed up for a special event at the West End's finest venue, The Social, to see in 2010.

This year's event will feature a special performances from ED HARCOURT & JOHNNY FLYNN. Johnny will be opening the festive hoe-down with a special intimate solo performance. In what's set to be very memorable eve, Johnny will be followed by the Ed Harcourt.

ED HARCOURT has long been a close friend of both Rockfeedback and Transgressive Records, appearing frequently in the earlier stages of his career at Rockfeedback's Basement Club. What with the special nature of a New Years occasion and the teaming up with Ed's former label Heavenly for this year's celebration, a special guest such as Ed could not have been a more natural choice. Harcourt is undoubtedly one of the UK's finest talents, having also collaborated with everyone from Yusuf Islam to The Streets, and released a collection of critically acclaimed albums.

JOHNNY FLYNN by now needs no introduction. Posterboy for the modern folk scene, actor, poet, artist and songwriter Flynn has flown off into a diverse and enthralling wash of sound that has seen debut LP A Larum hailed universally the world over by critics as one of the most important folk albums of the last decade. We're thirlled to announce he will be opening the night with a full early evening special solo set.

After midnight downstairs sees "The Clock Club". A big clock on stage and a gong hit dramatically every half hour, marking a change of genre/musical style! Each special guest DJ will be playing concept sets ranging from indie smashes to bangra and dubstep set to keep sneakers moving until the early hours of 2010. DJ talents so far include Goldierocks, Rockfeedback TEAM DJ, Transgressive Records, The Heavenly Jukebox, Home.Under.Ground
