Sing-a-long Around the World with Nino Raphael

Kent born and New Zealand raised Song Leader Nino Raphael now lives in Manchester and is doing his first public workshop at the invitation of the Manchester Community Choir.

Sing-a-long Around the World will be a full day workshop of singing with Raphael's staple energetic style. With warmups and exercises that can support the voice - for beginners and keen experts.

The choices of songs will be taught through call and response and include a variety of songs from Aotearoa (New Zealand), Madagascar, South Africa, Croatia, Brazil and the UK. Do not miss an exciting opportunity to be immersed in a rich variety of culture through song.

Raphael's work extends from Performing and facilitating Opera, Musical theatre and community arts. He has worked as a Vocal coach and theatre director with Te Koki New Zealand School of Music and Toi Whakaari National Drama School whilst being musical director for two choirs in Wellington that both advocate for mental health and music from around the world.

Light refreshments will be available but participants must bring their own lunch.
There are lunch outlets close by if you wish to buy your own.
