Proceed - http://www.myspace.com/proceed
Hertford quintet formed in 2008. Their debut EP is set to be released on the 31st of May. Proceed is already considered as the next big thing thanks to their uplifting, anthemic and guitar-fueled songs. Their live performances are always something to remember! They have already been featured a few times in Kerrang! Magazine and BBC Radios.
"Quite simply the best unsigned act in the UK today" - Alex Baker, Kerrang! Radio
ortoPilot - http://www.myspace.com/ortopilotmusic
a.k.a Matt Hutchison - a singer/songwriter from Manchester and one of the UK's leading youTube'ing singer songwriters. After uploading acoustic covers of artists such as Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Michael Jackson, Oasis and many more, he has become a YouTube sensation reaching more than 19,000 subscribers (in perspective David Gray - 3000 subscribers). Matt has two original albums under his belt, a raft of acoustic covers available for sale on iTunes and his third self penned album, on release this summer 2010, looks to be the start of a very exciting decade for ortoPilot.
"ortoPilot offers an impressive line in soulful acoustic covers, particularly his version of Muse's Supermassive Black Hole. A&Rs looking for a new James Morrison could do a lot worse." - Chris Salmon, The Guardian, March 25th, 2010
Sick City Club (previously known as The Skyline) - http://www.myspace.com/theskylineofficial
Indie rock band from Birmigham formed in 2008. They are about to release their debut album Talking With Lies produced by Gavin Monaghan who also worked with Editors, The Smiths and Kings Of Leon. Their live performances are always full of energy filled with punchy riffs, fiery beats and insanely catchy tunes.
"They have a glittering, promising future ahead of them" - NME
The Julian Tulk Band - http://www.myspace.com/juliantulk
Folk band based in the South of England where they have increased their popularity by delivering sensational, honest and powerful live performances. They released their debut album No Strings - a toxic blend of blues, folk and alternative pop - in May 2008.
"We have only one complaint about this CD; there just isn't enough of it. The blues-tinted, soaring melodies deliver a rare and masterful blend of emotion and integrity. With guitars twanging freshly in your ears, Tulk's voice holds your attention with a gentle but vice like grip. The musicianship is truly awesome, and the production is next level." - Rock Sound Magazine
Lecarla - http://www.myspace.com/lecarla
5 piece rock band from Milton Keynes. The band has already been referred to as a 'British Paramore' thanks to their high-energy performances and catchy punk songs. They have also performed along the likes of The Blackout, Go:Audio, Towers Of London, All Forgotten, We Are The Ocean and Attack Attack. They released their first EP 'Uncovered' in April 2010 which received quite a few praises from rock fans all around the country.
"So, just like Lecarla have uncovered their new sound with this EP, we at RockStopScene have uncovered a gem of a band in Lecarla. Get acquainted, because these guys will be big." - RockStopScene
Kovak - http://www.myspace.com/kovakuk
Brighton based indie-electro band leaded by the sassy Annelies Van De Velde. Their exuberant, sparkling and catchy pop has already fired Brighton's party scene! Their live performances are not to miss as they'll make you dance like a kid high on fizzy candy, swirling your glow sticks away till the early hours of the day.
"Kovak have actually done a 'Hit Hit Hit' album... It's fun, it's sassy: There's nothing hotter. Get jiggy with it." - Artrocker
Sandweaver - http://www.myspace.com/sandweavertheband
Indie band based in Worthing. Their songs range from tales of broken hearts, love, loss and laser lights. Their exciting, intergalactic and energetic live performances have already prove to be very popular in the South of England and there is no doubt their popularity will grow even bigger in the rest of the country.
"Epic, Melodic, Well-groomed Indie" - NME
"An absolute pleasure to watch" - Rock Brighton Rockpod Show
