Fresh-faced London promoter Ey Up Duck is proud to bring to North London a rare performance from Tap Tap (aka Tom Sanders of Pete & The Pirates). Taking place at Islington’s Hope & Anchor on Wednesday 30th June (a night where no World Cup football is being played), this will be Tap Tap’s first London show since their debut live outing at The Lexington last year.
Tap Tap’s latest album On My Way (Stolen Recordings) is a deftly crafted record of mini psych pop masterpieces, and goes some way to reinforce Sanders as one of this country’s finest new songwriters. It’s not known yet whether Sanders will be perform solo, as a full-band or somewhere in-between, but needless to say whatever form he takes it certainly promises to be special.
Support comes from London upstarts Bronze Medallists who are starting to cause a little stir with their sprightly whistles, breezy melodies and acute lyrics. They will be preceded by the disco-pop-indie-funk of fellow Londoners Real Fur.
Music throughout the night will be provided from London tastemaker label Blood and Biscuits (Three Trapped Tigers, Tall Ships, Gallops, Teej).
