Spinningchilli presents a John Peel night in memory of the late great DJ and broadcaster (30th August 1939 – 25th October 2004) with:

Nightingales
From the ashes of Birmingham punk band The Prefects, Nightingales became firm Peel faves recording no less than seven sessions. Since reforming in 2004 they’ve released more brilliant LPs, toured Europe and the US. Current line-up includes original vocalist/wordsmith Robert Lloyd, Alan Apperley (Prefects guitarist), drummer Daren Garratt (Pram), Andreas Schmid (Faust Studio) and Christine Edwards (Christy & Emily)

I Ludicrous
Formed mid 80s, gaining notoriety when debut release 'Preposterous Tales' reached number 11 in Peel’s Festive Fifty. If you missed their last Brighton gig back in April this one’s a must.
