Event information

Lamb & Wolf along with our friends from Good Afternoon and the Knitted Kittens Craft Club are throwing the Halloween bash to end all Halloween bashes and YOU are invited.

With a line up of DJ's from some of our favourite nights as well as a stupendous line up of bands, we're pretty sure this will top last year's effort at Islington Mill. PLUS IT'S ONLY FIVE QUID.

Rumours are also rife that the WOLVES OF HOPE will be returning with an all new set of dark new wave and horror songs to get yous in the the mood.

Highlights of the evening will be a live sets from SCREAMING FEMALES and Brooklyn's finest GARY WAR.

SCREAMING FEMALES
Off the back of last year's critically acclaimed album 'Power Move', Screaming Females landed spots opening for Dinosaur Jr., Throwing Muses, and Jay Reatard, plus dates touring with Arctic Monkeys and the Dead Weather. Renowned for their raucous live shows driven by front woman Marissa Paternoster’s famed guitar heroics, Screaming Females have been tearing up the USA's DIY punk circuit (four years of playing over 300 self-booked shows at non-traditional show spaces) and now they're set to treat UK audiences to more of the same.

Lazy comparisons would point you in the direction of Sleater Kinney, Marnie Stern, Dinosaur Jr, The Slits and co. but nobody likes lazy comparisons, so just trust me that if you like scuzzy guitars and throat-wrenching screams that you'll really really like it.

GARY WAR
The perfect soundtrack to a Halloween shindig, Gary War's synth driven lo-fi psyche pop is exciting us greatly. The Gorilla Vs Bear blog recommends them to fans of holograms, dystopian 80's sci-fi films and the song "Metro" by Berlin. The reason i'm telling you this is that it sums them up in a way i never could.

Representing locally will be the most danceable band from the Golden Lab stable THE GAMECOCK with one more awesome Manchester band about to be confirmed ANY MINUTE NOW.

The Mill will be open from 6pm with all kinds of spooky goings on happening, live bands will start a little later and the dancing will continue until the wee small hours.
