Event information

This exclusive evening with a maximum of 15 guests is held in the Highgate yurt which was part of Open House in 2009.
It's warm with a wood burner and right next to Highgate Woods.
The menu will be inspired by Tibetan and Mongolian cuisine and the woodlands.
I may serve Tibetan salty, buttery tea!
Diners will be sat on cushions in the candle lit interior.
Wear ethnic clothes: you know those dodgy things you bought on holiday and could never wear once you got back. Well this is your chance!

The Underground Restaurant is the pioneer in the UK supperclub movement.
MsMarmitelover (marmitelover.blogspot.com) will cook you a home cooked meal on the Aga in her beautiful shabby chic home.
Tables are mixed, so feel free to come on your own, you will be able to sit with others.
Please arrive on time because it leaves gaps at the tables and wastes food if you don't turn up.
There is no refund once you've booked as ingredients have already been purchased.
Strict vegetarians/ vegans let me know at theundergroundrestaurant@gmail.com 4/5 days beforehand. Some themes may be inappropriate for those with food allergies (like the woman who booked for the Elvis meal but wanted low fat food huh?).
There is never any meat but there is sometimes fish.
Dress code: dressy
Service: teenage goth will sometimes be in residence

It's a home restaurant therefore service is not like in a conventional restaurant.
You get seconds if there is enough.
You may get told off for not eating up your dinner.
Many dishes are served family style.
You can come and have a look at the kitchen after the main course is out.
Meals are generally comprised of a welcome cocktail and at least 4 courses. Pretty good deal eh?
The Summerhouse is available for private parties for a supplement. Great place for that special date - there's even a bed. Email me.
