ALLO, DARLIN’
Allo Darlin' are many things. They can turn a room in a famous punk venue into a joyous, jumping, sweaty, pop-mosh pit. Or bring a room of 500 to hushed silence with the few strums of a ukulele and a love song about cooking. Among the many shows they’ve played have been End Of The Road, Indietracks, Sŵn and SXSW festivals. They’ve had glowing reviews in places such as the Metro, The Fly and The Guardian, the latter calling their "Henry Rollins" single "the best indiepop song for years", while their next single “The Polaroid Song” made it into the Drowned in Sound Top 50 Singles of 2009. They've also had airplay on BBC Radio 1 & 2, BBC 6music and XFM and were recently selected by Steve Lamacq as his personal choice for BBC Radio’s Introducing week. Their self-titled debut album was released to universal acclaim earlier this year and a new single "My Heart Is A Drummer" will be release on November 15th.
“Terrific, witty and heartfelt, like a less moody Belle & Sebastian” (The New York Times)

THE GRAVE ARCHITECTS
Born with a broken heart The Grave Architects have picked themselves up, dusted themselves down and written their way to the top, garnering praise from the NME, plays on Radio Nottingham and a mention on the local council website along the way. Since forming in 2005 The Grave Architects are now seasoned hands at the pulling heart strings out, stretching them once around the funny bone and plucking them to the wet crash of tiny tears. Think a hopped-up Jonathan Richman, or maybe the kookier elements of Pavement or Pulp with a dash of Ween and The Moldy Peaches. A bit folk, a bit country, a bit indiepop, a bit hip-hop, the Grave Architects make fun pop. Their single "I Love My Bike" very nearly stormed the charts earlier this year.
“Meet the Coen Brothers of rock – off the wall, touching and very, very funny… From Johnny Cash-esque country jangles to strangely credible old-school raps, whatever genre the Architects dabble in, entertainment remains the blueprint." (New Noise)
