Inaugural show over in fine West London. featuring Paul Wassif playing with full band.
This event is in partnership with The Willesden Folk Union.
Paul Wassif has pedigree few folk and blues guitarists could match – he is hugely admired and respected by fellow folk and blues musicians, heroes and peers alike, and celebrated for his contributions to Bert Jansch’s last two albums.
Paul’s early career in Punk/Rock band The London Cowboys, followed by various stints in NY bands with New York Dolls front men Gerry Nolan and Sylvain Sylvain, could not be more different in style and substance to the melodic folk and country/blues that now identifies his music.
This event is in anticipation of his debut album, Looking Up, Feeling Down to be released early next year. The album is a collection of self penned songs and reworked traditional classics, distinguished by Paul’s inspiring and versatile guitar work, be it finger picking, slide or electric.
