Foxes!
Foxes! are a ramshackle psych-pop four piece from Brighton. They play songs about friends and animals and are a cutesy experimental pop explosion reminiscent of The Research, Magic Kids, Matt and Kim and Architecture in Helsinki. The band are fresh from a playing a recent UK tour supporting nautical folk band Stornoway including a show at Shepherds Bush Empire and also played a well received show in the church at Indietracks this year. Expect to hear their “Who Killed Rob?” single which came out earlier this year on Catcutter Records, which is a mini three part epic of a pop song that finishes with a terrific moogy riff aswell as songs from their forthcoming Boxes! Album.
“Their episodic jangly pop may represent the first attempt in musical history to wrangle winsome C86 indie with prog rock.” - The Guardian

BLOOD ORANGES
Blood Oranges are your new favourite 'mixed-sex' indie pop band from Leeds. they create, in their own words - 'hyperactive, contagiously catchy indie pop' and channel the almighty influences of Los Campesinos, The Wedding Present and Belle and Sebastian. Since forming in late 2009, the band have garnered a bit of a name for themselves thanks to immaculately chosen support slots alongside the likes of Frankie and the Heartstrings, Summer Camp, Surfer Blood and loads more. They release their long-awaited debut single 'The French Word For Love' on strictly limited edition, numbered 7" vinyl through London label Things to Make And Do on the 29th Nov.
“Chock full of jigging rhythms… guaranteed to slap a big silly grin on your face and get your feet tapping away."
- Leeds Music Scene

EVANS THE DEATH
Chelmsford and Clapham based 5 piece Evans The Death are 5 youngsters who combine to make some raw c86 style indie-pop and hav ebeen compared to The Field Mice, Standard Fare and The Sea Urchins. Their ‘Sleeping Song’ has already been a fixture of the more forward thinking blogs.
“This really is a band to dream about and fall in love with. Im quite taken." - Brilldream

PLANTAGENET 3
This will be the first show for London’s Plantagenet 3 who’s debut 7” came out earlier this year and was featured by the likes of Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music. A misguided combination of Spaghetti Western soundtracks, 1960’s surf guitar and lo-fi post-rock. The end result splits the difference between Man or Astro-man? and Labradford, ending up somewhere in the vicinity of Clinic, except instrumental.
