Event Information
A Japanese horror double bill like no other, exploring the myths, folk and ghost tales that have dominated Japanese culture for centuries.
From 6.30pm: Ringu, 1998- an investigation into the deaths linked to a haunted videotape, which a group of school girls watched before their mysterious death. Just as the audience is most vulnerable, the story unleashed the horrifying joker.
From 8.30pm: Hausu, 1977- A psychedelic cult classic from Toho, the studio behind the Godzilla movies. The film follows a girl and her class mates on a trip to spend their summer holiday at her aunt’s creaky country home, bringing them face-to-face with evil spirits, a demonic house cat, a bloodthirsty piano, and other ghoulish visions.
