Event Information
On Sunday 26 February, Redhook welcomes Carl Clarke of The English Laundrette (http://www.englishlaunderette.co.uk/) and seafood pop-up ‘Rock Lobsta’ to cook Sunday lunch as part of our Cornish Grill series.
The Cornish Grill is a collaboration between Redhook and our wonderful supplier Matt Chatfield. The idea is simple: to host a series of Sunday lunch clubs, with rotating guest chefs showcasing the very best meat, seafood and produce sourced in and around Matt’s native Cornwall.
At Redhook we love our British, seasonal produce, something which Carl has embraced entirely in his inspired menu, which kicks off with a Ruby Red Royale (Grey Goose vodka, elderflower, fresh grapefruit juice, fizz) on the house and as many trips to the DIY Bloody Mary Buffet as you can manage.
Carl will then treat guests to a typically unique and inventive course menu of the following;
Sunday Pub Snacks
Smoked Treacle Bread
Cornish salt, whipped butter
Smoked Looe Scallops
fresh curds, broad bean shoots, crispy onions, lime & lavender vinegar
Wild Fallow Deer
rosehip jam, rape and ramsons, shin and raspberry stout pudding
Yorkshire Pudding Roasters in Pitt Cue pork fat
roots with East London honey
Sea Buckthorn Posset
jelly, sorbet, chocolate crumbs and leather
Tickets for this event are £40 per person.
Pre-booking is advisable as tickets are limited and we will sell out.
