This St George's Day will see the most English of artists playing on the most English of days. After his sold-out show back in November, Mr.B The Gentleman Rhymer returns to Guildford.
Mr.B is a man on a mission, to make Hip-Hop gentlemanly. To return this most 'street' of genres back to the Queen's English and to bloody well amuse you while doing it. He is frequently featured on Radio 1 during the Edinburgh festival and here is what some other people with opinions more important than mine have said:
"There has never been a rapper like Mr.B" - Sunday Times
"Hilarious" - The Independent
"Note perfect"- The Telegraph
"'Unique" - Tom Robinson, BBC 6Music
"Sublime Genius" - The Chap
In main support will be UkeJam, a 30ish piece Ukulele choir/orchestra. They'll be performing a mixture of songs that you know and can sing along to.
Opening will be Woking band The Brompton Mix. Echoing one of England's best periods of popular music, The Britpop Era, they shall give us a nice and bold start to the evening. Hopefully they'll play the national anthem.
Entry will be £8 in advance or £10 on the door.
