JAMES CANTY

Straight out of Essex songsmith James Canty brings his riotous acoustic guitar led band to the forefront of the alt-folk genre. With crafted songs and reflective lyrics entwinned with explosive live performances, echoing Fleet Foxes, Alt- J and Scroobius Pip. Canty proves both a prolific writer and ecentric stage persona.

RELATIVES

Little is known about these guys except they hail from New York, they are currently touring europe and .. oh yeah, they are absolutely brilliant!!! Check for yourselves here -http://relatives.bandcamp.com/album/tardy-mark

AY DUCANE

'Dylan walked to the desert to collect his shoes. While tripping over Tom Waits in the sand growling at a $50 bill held to the sun. Around a corner in the drunken features of a writer confined to a motel in the desert The Band looms. John Martyn once wandered down that hall singing of the Howlin’ Wolves while the Doors would not stop opening. They too are tied to a pride that courses through their bitter veins stained blue by rage. They’re marching now. Monsters have risen and fallen on both sides. Peace has become fear. Sex, solves everything. For the first time, there’s not much Lennon could have done now…'

Ay Ducane, formed by Francis Newington (somerset) and Galih Richardson (indonesia/london). Joined recently by the Richen's brothers, Adam, and Ollie (somerset) and Fender bassist Edward Maltby (unknown).

Ay Ducane are in the driving seat as a modern Americana band based in London; nudists in a world of cover-up artists. Their live sound is enigmatic one that must be heard. They won't be naked, but their fully analogue EP recorded onto two-inch tape is scheduled to be released late 2012.

MAT GIBSON

DIY Troubadour from London.

"a luminous follow-up" **** Rob Hughes, UNCUT

"Aided by his brilliant Ryan Adams-esque voice and emotive story-telling, Gibson has created a collection of songs with more depth than most full-length albums could dream of." For Folk's Sake

"Forest Fire is a well defined and masterfully arranged album with instant enjoyability and an enduring sound. Mat Gibson’s skill as a songscraftsman is what elevates this album from fine to sublime." 8/10 Oxford Music Blog

"A lament to hopelessness and futility; expansive and exploratory in equal measure." 7/10 Americana UK
