Meilana Gillard is a contemporary jazz saxophonist, and composer. She has played and recorded with some of the most esteemed musicians in the industry and toured the world.

Meilana continues to push the boundaries and conceptions of jazz, seamlessly integrating genres into her sound to create an exciting mix of textures and colours.
Spending the majority of her 20's in New York studying at the New School, she developed as a musician, playing with the likes of Charli Persip, The Columbus Symphony Orchestra, The Diva Jazz Orchestra, and Christian McBride.

Now living in Belfast, Meilana has rooted herself in NI’s exciting jazz scene playing regularly and collaborating with the best of local talent.


Meilana's ballad "A Spirit Remembered" appears on the iTunes Rising Stars of Jazz Compilation, featuring some of today's most noted new artists.
