The Funny Women Awards have been running for over a decade, and over that period we have been the first to see so many wonderful female comedians who are now major names on the comedy circuit. We are proud to have played a part in bringing more female voices onto the comedy scene, and now is your chance to take part!
We endeavour to be one of the friendliest and most diverse competitions on the comedy circuit, and we are honoured that so many acts choose to perform their very first gig with us. We aim to see every entrant perform live, and even if you don't feel quite ready, why not give it a go just to kick start your performing career and gain a bit of stage time? We look for stand ups and writers, sketch, character and musical comedy, impressionists, ventriloquists and magicians, double acts and ensembles… anything, as long as it has a comic twist.
