2013 marks the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Edith Piaf who remains France's most popular singer. Her dramatic rise from Paris street urchin to star of international renown appears a fairytale, but her life was ravaged by pain and loss. This powerful celebration of her life and music evokes Paris in the 1940s & 50s with Eve Loiseau perfectly capturing the essence of Piaf.
