Event information

Future Of The Left
Future of the Left were formed in 2005 as a direct response to market research which suggested that the perfect unsuccessful and ignored rock band could be created by melding together the remains of two largely unsuccessful and ignored rock bands from south Wales, Mclusky and Jarcrew. No pride has been spared in the fall-out.

The band consists of Andrew Falkous (guitar/vocals), Jack William Egglestone (drums), and Kelson Louis Tregurtha Mathias (bass/vocals). Original line-up also included Hywel Evans (also formerly of Jarcrew).

Lovvers
Consisting of former The Murder Of Rosa Luxemburg and Kamikazee members, Lovvers successfully straddle the curious middle ground between arthouse cred and noisesome hardcore. Formed a little over a year ago in Nottingham, LOVVERS is a group of passionate individuals, loud and honest they portray a form of musical reality often associated with the early 80's or mid 90's US acts, many of which were found on the labels SST and SUB POP. Their sound is a chaotic mixture of fractured guitar and mangled vocals, that some how regroups to form a very clear structure.

"The Murder of Rosa Luxemburg should have been like the English version of the Blood Brothers but a million and one times better. shame they split. here is shaun who used to scream with the Murder Of playing puerile spazzed-out punk that hits all the right notes, like Antioch Arrow on bad ecstacy" - 9/10 Vice Magazine

Meet Me In St Louis
Guildford based post hardcore five piece touring their Alex Newport (At The Drive-In, The Mars Volta, The Locust and more) produced debut album, 'Variations On Swing' released on Oxford based Big Scary Monsters label.

"British twist-core mentalists are a sonic proposition that will make your brain melt" NME

"The Sonic ADD of Meet Me In St Louis makes Forward Russia sound like Keane" The Fly (ones to watch)

"A winding epic, full of erratic time signatures and evolving dynamics… The sound of post-hardcore destroying itself and starting again... Next year they'll be Bigger Than Jesus. 8/10" Drowned in Sound

"Possessed by the spirit of Cap n Jazz, they jerk like men under a voodoo spell; when their guitars truly crunch, though, the bombast is the equal of Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies as they ascend star-wards, afterburners spitting scorched soul back to a ground zero encircled by mouth-agape onlookers."
