Event information

Andee is an international bassist and vocalist from Kent with a love of all things swing. Her playing style is influenced jazz greats such as Ray Brown and Ron Carter and her delicate but bluesy vocals have been likened to those of Blossom Dearie. As a bassist she has performed with Tina May, Derek Nash, Alan Barnes and Steve Waterman (to name but a few) and as a vocalist she fronts her own band ‘Scarlett Rae & the Cherry Reds’ – a fusion of jazz, blues and rockabilly. Most recently she has also been touring as backing vocalist for 80’s pop star Toyah Willcox. For this concert Andee will be joined by Nevil Willis on guitar and Ivan Thompson on clarinet. Look forward to an evening of swinging songs, gypsy jazz instrumentals and original compositions from this exciting and dynamic trio.
