The Intercepteurs- Salisbury's premier intelligent ska/soul/pop collision based tour de force....a ska band in the Specials/Beat mould with plenty of nods in the playing to the bedrock of the music- Skatalites, Baba Brooks, Millie Smalls et al via colourful clever pop passages that are totally 2013... uplifting n joyous with it.
Marlin Chops- Feel good reggae ska 7 piece somewhere between Sublime and Mad Caddies. I like what I hear and so shall ye...
Hector Bizerk- Glasgy based mighty fine sonic manipulators...hiphop and reggae melded together to make a sparse but accessible vehicle for a narration based vocal that will inevitably get people going 'Arab Strap' but his voice is more redolent of Kevin Bridges after a massive Camberwell carrot. Works a treat, likey.
