Welcome to the funnier side to Middlesbrough!
Mink presents the next installment of our monthly comedy club, where the atmosphere is relaxed and cosy, the drinks are chilled and the company is second to none!
This month we've got the Scottish Invasion!!!
Our headliner is the amazing Ray Bradshaw. Ray has quickly gained a reputation as one of the funniest and most dependable acts on the Scottish comedy scene, all by the tender age of only 23.
Having made his comedy debut in September 2008, Ray is already a double Scottish Comedian of The Year finalist. One of the most exciting new acts in Scotland, Ray has travelled the lengths and breadth of the country telling jokes to anyone that will listen, making his name as an MC for various promoters including The Stand, and also producing stand-out festival performances at T in the Park and RockNess.
Ray is now bringing his talents south of the border, the first steps in bringing the ginger revolution to the rest of the United Kingdom.
"Has a clear comedy gift." - Edinburgh Evening News
"One to look out for" - The Skinny
And your MC for this evening is the fandabidozy Scott Gibson. Scott may not yet be a familiar name in England, but it’s only a matter of time before that changes. In his first 12 months on the circuit Scott was crowned the winner of the 2011 Highlight Comedy Club New Act competition, and was also a finalist in the 2011 Scottish Comedian of the Year competition and the Loaded Lafta New Act competition.
In 2012 Scott was named runner-up at the Hilarity Bites New Act competition, and he has since gone on to build an enviable reputation amongst promoters and fellow comics as one of the most uncompromising and exciting acts working in Scotland. It was this reputation which saw Scott hand-picked to support Tom Stade for a series of warm-up gigs in summer 2012, as well as performing alongside Kevin Bridges and Frankie Boyle before traveling to Canada for a week of gigs, including performing at the world famous Yuk Yuks Comedy Club in down town Toronto.
Scott also has a sell-out Glasgow Comedy Festival show under his belt, and has performed at RockNess and the Edinburgh Fringe - not bad for someone who only started stand-up in November 2010.
"He’s got oomph, energy and likeability" - Chortle
"A great storyteller with a set full of cracking punchlines" - Des Clarke
"Builds audience rapport better than anyone we’ve seen" - Red Door Comedy
