This event has been organised in honour of a close friend of Michelle Hyslop. Last June Rebecca Hayward, 28, of Southampton passed away from an epileptic seizure in her sleep. Family and friends devastated at the loss of the bright photography graduate were so shocked as nobody had any idea that epilepsy could ever prove to be fatal, yet more fatalities are attributed than Diabetes each year in the UK.
Just over 4mths later the tragedy took another turn when Rebecca's mother, Jeannie, passed away from a heart attack - also in her sleep. The loss of her daughter proving too much strain.
We are very privileged to have Mark Felgate, who has epilepsy, performing with his vocal acrobatics and all the other participants supporting the cause to pass on awareness of the importance in maintaining health as an epileptic and through this prevent the shock of any future unfortunate deaths.
