Cafe A Go Go Presents 80's Mod Legends THE SCENE.
Starting out as Mod/Punk band 007 back in about 1979 and evolving into The Scene from 1983 until 1986 under the guiding hand of their Svengali like manager Paul Dixon (yes the same Dixie to inspire Jon Owens Svengali :-) ) The band released 3 singles and an album Landscapes which featured both 007 and The Scene which became very collectable. Considered in their day to be the real deal. Looked like Mods, dressed like Mods. Called themselves Mods.
Now back on the (Scene) and playing out to great acclaim, gaining a whole new generation of admirers, recently playing at the Bangor mod weekender supporting The Strypes no less!
Support this time comes from local boys who need no introduction-The Broken Vinyl Club. A new line up, new tunes and guess what...managed by Paul Dixon. Its a strange old world.....
Cafe A Go Go DJs top the night off playing all vinyl that goes with the territory. Yeh...its a mod thing
