Formed in 2010, the London based Ligeti Quartet have quickly established a reputation as leading exponents of classical contemporary music. They are equally comfortable in the concert hall and less traditional venues, such as art galleries, pubs and nightclubs, bringing a fresh approach to new music. The quartet comprises graduates from the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, and the University of Oxford. They have studied with musicians including Alexander Ivashkin, Rohan de Saram, and members of the Kronos, Kreutzer, and Bingham quartets. They have been YLMP Featured Artists since 2010.
