The Dave Kane Quartet - led by the innovative Irish bassist & composer Dave Kane and featuring some of the most exciting young musicians around. Tight ensemble playing, crafty, shifting time signatures are coupled here with a sense of high drama. Melodic, lyrical at times and powerfully rhythmic, this is music as confident in its execution as it is bold in its conception. Kane's new music and compositional approach has definitely changed and matured from previous bands he has led. The new music is heavily influenced from his practice of Ashtanga Yoga & Transcendental Meditation.
