Minimum-A mesh of interlocking keys and proggy guitar sounds with indietronica pop nous and a little heavioisty on board. Klaxons get rocked up a la Enter Shikari ..epic sounding stuff, thunderous and melodic.The Omelettes-With a Britpop cum psych cum freakbeat sound these Argie Bargies are certainly fans of British pop culture- noteably Inspiral Carpets, Blur and Julian Cope...but as the latter indicates there's a lot of late '60s American grooviness about this too...Strawberry Alarm Clock, Monkees even. There are lots of little hooks, the tunes are decent and even the female singer pulls off the slightly awkward English singing. TBelly-Brightonians influenced by Tom Waits and all manner of Blues Hollerers, mainly Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy...piano, guitar, harp- all very authentic sounding..The statue Thieves-The Statue Thieves’ edge comes with it’s laboratory-esque cooking of Mod rock, roots rock and roll, soul, and the kind of grooves found in hip hop, of folk, psychedelia, and mellow funk.
