BLUES HEROES with Fraser Speirs, Allan Jones and Richard O'Donnell

This promises to be a very special show, with three of Scotlands top acoustic performers celebrating the music of their blues heroes.



As MUD IN YOUR EAR, Allan and Ritchie have been regular performers at the UK’s top blues festivals, including Banbury, Colne R&B Festival, Burnley Blues Festival and Dundee Blues Bonanza. They specialise in the music of the early pre-war blues masters, as well as in the early electric blues repertoire of Muddy Waters and Elmore James.



FRASER SPEIRS is Scotland’s top session harmonica player. He has appeared over the years with performers as diverse as Alexis Korner, Muddy Waters, Homesick James, Champion Jack Dupree, Marion Montgomery, Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson, John Herald, Tam White and contemporary artists such as Paulo Nutini, Carol Laula, Rab Noakes, John Wright, Hans Theesink, Eddi Reader, James Grant and Carol Kidd.



Tonight’s show promises to be a ‘mini blues festival’ with a wide range of guitar, piano and harmonica styles on show, as well as a vast array of vintage instruments to see and hear at first hand.
