The Wave Pictures from Londontown are grabbing headlines in the UK since their debut single and album through Moshi Moshi. Grizzly and accomplished, with an unassuming and modestly expressed gift, like heroes, able to thread a story through rhythm wrapped round a tight melodic theme.

Darren Hayman...once the king-pin of Hefner, here playing solo with both old favourites and new songs from his forthcoming second solo album Secondary Modern. The lyrics as usual are precise, emotive, direct, heartbreaking and amusing all at the same time. The theme of suburban ennui and aspiration from his last two albums continue this time with a particular focus on schools and education inspired by Darren's recent short career as an Art Teacher.
