SARAH SAVOY and the FRANCADIANS
Sarah wowed our audience at her first London gig. She has already been booked for WOMAD. Catch her first here.
Louisiana born and raised,Sarah is the daughter of Marc and Ann (Savoy Doucet Cajun Band) and sister of Wilson Savoy (Pineleaf Boys). Keeping her audiences dancing, Sarah belts out sassy blues, growls through honky-tonk-inspired songs of the 1940’s and 50’s, and wails the bitterness of Cajun music’s most forlorn waltzes. But she also sings her own compositions 'I’m trying to give Cajun music a more powerful- independent- party- girl- so- watch-o ut!’ kinda voice.” So you heard her. Watch out!
Doors open 7.30pm. Beginners' Cajun Dance Class 8.00pm. Live music 8.50-11.00pm
