***Fuzzy Lights***

After a hiatus of over eight years Fuzzy Lights are making a welcome return. Burials is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed album Rule of Twelfths, and the fourth album from the Cambridge-based post-folk collective. Their sound has been stripped back to its component parts, deconstructed and rebuilt under less obvious influences. There’s a bedrock of folk-rock - predecessors like Trees and Fairport Convention - but this is then built upon through multiple layers, from the stillness of Talk Talk to the orchestral chaos of Godspeed You! Black Emperor. With Burials Fuzzy Lights have cultivated these sounds and influences into something new and fresh that distances the album from the rest of the folk-rock crowd.

“...re-inventing the folk-rock playbook and dragging it screaming through an array of influences...Fuzzy Lights’ most unique, reflective and ambitious record to date” FOR THE RABBITS

***Firestations***

It's our second time at the Trades. It's a great venue and we're very up for playing again :)))))))
We'll play some old and some very new songs (from our third album we're currently working on) - from shoegazey indie and intimate folksy warmth, through to addictive synth pop and harmony driven psychedelic moments.
Our second album The Year Dot came out on Lost Map Records in 2018 and experimental album Dream Home on WIAIWYA in 2020. The 'Automatic Tendencies' project saw three EPs, and accompanying art collections, released (also on Lost Map) from August 2020 to Summer 2021. Singles 'Small Island' and 'The Circular' garnered praise and repeat plays from Marc Riley on BBC6Music (as well as Gideon Coe, Cerys Matthews and Radcliffe & Maconie), who called Small Island “a perfect pop song”.
New single 'Reflection Spells', a melancholy meditation on young love and doomed romance, arrived just in time for the Christmas party season last December and really spiced things up a bit.

***Bit Cloudy***

Firestations guitarist Martin is also an acclaimed electronic composer and producer having released on labels such as Werra Foxma, Byrd Out and Front and Follow, and remixed Pictish Trail, Veslemes, Astronauts and Sarmacja. Elements of acid house, post rock, hip hop and kosmische feed into his singular sonic vision which he's bringing to the Trades for the first time.
