LOUIS ELIOT & THE EMBERS
Former Kinky Machine and Rialto singer in a very different guise, playing great country pop folk on a Cornish tangent with a fine band made up of accordion, mandolin, fiddle and the usual backline. Think Steve Earle tempered with the milder manners of John Prine and the pop quirks of Elvis Costello, and don't forget that Eliot has the knack for a tune and a sound of his very own.
New album, Kittow's Moor, the follow up to his critically acclaimed 'The Long Way Round' solo album released back in 2004, is expected in January 2010.

THE EFFRAS
Sweet country rocking sounds with lyrics focussed on where they actually live (south London) rather than the wannabe britacana types who ramble on about Amtrak trains in Oklahoma or some such nonsense.

SONGDOG (Acoustic)
And the bonus for the evening is an acoustic set by Lyndon from Songdog whose current album 'A Wretched Sinner's Song' is out now on One Little Indian.
Fans include a Mr Springsteen of New Jersey who used Songdog's 'Days of Armageddon' for walk in music on his recent European tour.
'..dark and sinister & beautiful..Lyndon’s songs are by turns sexy, scary, funny, creepy, heartbreaking and usually always brilliant.' Allan Jones, Editor, Uncut
'..glacier-paced folk noir..the storytelling hints at a real gravity.' NME
'..like Nick Cave, he sings as if the world’s end is nigh, and does so convincingly' Q Magazine
