Event information

Zachary Lucky is unapologetically old-school country, armed with a husky, baritone voice. The Grandson of Canadian Country Music pioneer Smilin' Johnnie Lucky, he often receives comparisons to songwriters such as Gordon Lightfoot and Kris Kristofferson. He sings of Canadian places and people as knowingly as he might Townes Van Zandt or the Rio Grande. It's a relatable show on many levels, and conjures universal feelings that have passed through our collective timelines. Already hailed as a master storyteller by outlets ranging from No Depression to The Globe and Mail, Zachary is becoming a legend in his own right and has safely reserved his spot at the table of Canadian roots royalty.

Zachary released his new album "The Wind" on November 1st 2024 which amassed 300,000 streams within the first month of its release and has been called "one of his favourite records of the year" by Brad Wheel in the Globe and Mail.

★★★★R2 Magazine
7/10 Americana UK
'A gorgeous, atmospheric offering' Folk Radio UK

'A mesmerising and haunting new album from Lucy Kitchen.'
From the opening notes, Sun to My Moon, Lucy Kitchen’s second studio album, takes you on a journey spanning from fragile stripped back confessionals to Americana, to psychedelic-tinged harmony laden anthems

Never The Twain
NEVER THE TWAIN are a musical duo playing original songs and occasional covers
drawing on American and British folk and roots traditions. Singer-songwriter-guitarist
Stevie Simkin cites classic artists such as Petty, Springsteen and John Prine as key
influences, as well as more recent ‘Americana’ exponents such as Jeffrey Foucault and Phosphorescent.

The current iteration of the band features Stevie (guitar, vocal) and Dan Conroy of
Flaxen Hill and The Mod Cons (violin).

They play local festivals and venues in Hampshire and have often supported touring
musicians at the Railway Inn, Winchester including The Ocelots, Tarren, Ajay
Srivastav, Chris Cacavas (Green on Red) and Benji Kirkpatrick (Bellowhead).
