Patent Pending is a pop punk or punk rock band from New York with hip-hop and R&B influences. The band has cited Green Day, Blink-182, NOFX, Goldfinger, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, New Found Glory, and even the Beastie Boys and MC Hammer as influences. They often target the subjects of relationships, growing up, and friendship, while touching on the subject of suicide awareness and prevention (in the single One Less Heart to Break).
