The Jazz Centre UK

The Jazz Centre UK promotes, preserves and celebrates the culture of jazz. It occupies the lower ground floor of the Beecroft Art Gallery, in Southend-on-sea, Essex. You'll discover a library and magazine archive: an extensive record collection, with listening facilities; a record shop; art displays; and the permanent exhibition in our central Heritage Centre. Regular events are held, including record sessions, talks, and - every Saturday afternoon - live performances, in a wide variety of jazz styles, ranging from traditional and mainstream to the avant garde.
