Dublin duo Thread Pulls are nearly a rock band, stripped back to a core of drums and bass. Skewed grooves anchor their hypnotic proto-disco sound - kick-drum centred and sub-bass heavy. Belfast act The Continuous Battle of Order create a thrilling, ever-changing explosion of sound that matches an avalanche of jazzy drums with loopy finger-tapped guitar patterns.
