Event information

The opening night of Wiltshire's newest comedy night, with a fantastic line-up:

NICK PAGE
Nick was the original presenter of TV's Escape to the Country and, in his own words, "the least famous celebrity in Britain".

"A wicked sense of humour" (Gloucestershire Echo)

"The very best story teller on the comedy circuit" (Rhod Gilbert)

"A huge dose of likeability and some very clever material” (Bath Evening Chronicle)

TONY COWARDS
Tony is one of the best-known quick fire one-liner merchants on the circuit. Selected as GQ's Comedian of the Week last month, he has written extensively for BBC Radio Comedy.

“My favourite joke of the [Edinburgh] Festival so far was told to me by Tony Cowards" (Hardeep Singh Kohli, on BBC's The ONE Show)

"Tony Cowards is a great new MC who sets the audience up perfectly, with a nice self deprecating manner" (Jo Caulfield)

"He skilfully whipped the full house into a state of rapture” (ThreeWeeks)

SUZY BENNETT
Suzy is the winner of the Funny Women competition for the best new female act in 2006, although she is best known to television audiences from her appearances in The One Show (BBC1) and The Diets That Time Forgot (C4). Jimmy Carr is a fan, and selected her to warm up for one of his tours and to appear on his DVD.

“The incomparable Suzy Bennett… audience-friendly and risqué” (insidecomedy.co.uk)

“Womanly charm radiated from Suzy Bennett… vibrant, gorgeous and extremely funny.” (BBC)

“undeniable confidence and verve” (chortle.co.uk)

ANDREW WATTS
The night's host and MC is Urchfont’s Andrew Watts, one of the most talked-about new acts on the Comedy Circuit. He is best known to audiences from his appearances on ITV4’s comedy competition Stand-Up Hero, where he was selected as one of the top six new comics on the national Circuit.

"Unusual and challenging - very clever - I liked him immediately" (Ronni Ancona)

“Exquisitely funny ... one of the new comics making waves" (Time Out)

"Stand-up laced with a cerebral cutting-edge" (ThreeWeeks)
