Are you the one cracking a gag or two in the office?
Maybe you are the chappy down the pub telling that hilarious story. How about the fledgling comedian trying to find your feet?
Or perhaps you are just an adrenaline junkie that loves to try new things.

Comedy PlayShop has been set up with you in mind.

Each month we are offering you a chance to workshop your funny ideas, with professional comedians, into something that you can perform to a small empathetic crowd.

We don�t believe that you need to be taught what is funny. Everyone has a different sense of humour and that is what makes comedy alive and interesting. Instead, we offer you a chance to build on your ideas by discussing them with experienced comedians who will offer you advice and guidance in finding your style.
Each month we have a guest comedian who will run a 2-hour workshop on a Sunday afternoon. They will be sharing their experience with tips and advice for the group whilst helping you build your own on-stage persona and to feel confident in developing your own material.
After an hour or two to revise and rehearse your set, you will meet our second guest comedian who will be compeering the show in the evening. The compère will ensure that the crowd are warmed up and ready to go.
We are deliberately running the workshop on a Sunday to encourage discerning audience members who are eager to see new and experimental comedy. Also, as part of your £15 workshop fee, we will give you 5 x £1 off tokens to share amongst your friends who want to come and support you during your gig.

We hope that by running this monthly and by having different professional comedians work closely with you, the Comedy PlayShop will build a friendly community of new and interesting comedians.

Matt has been performing stand up comedy since 2003, and has appeared at venues all over London and throughout the UK. His act is a mixture of high energy observational and topical jokes combined with more personal stories and anecdotes.
