Bloomsbury Gets a Taste of Brooklyn

Why fly to the most diverse, vibrant and musically talented district in New York when its coming to Bloomsbury Lanes’ doors?
Brooklyn to Bloomsbury lands on the 25th March for a night of diverse, pulsating, authentic Brooklyn entertainment!

Internationally acclaimed Brooklyn Boy Wonder DJ Kenny Mitchell who is turning critics’ heads with his up rising and we are lucky to have him play a set of Brooklyn inspired house and electronic.

The Ramones may not have been from Brooklyn (neighbouring Queens) but they are certainly steeped in the tradition of the borough (Marky Ramone even has his own “Brooklyn Pasta Sauce”) so to pay homage to this all time great band we have The Ramona’s performing live!

It would be silly of us to pay tribute to Brooklyn’s electronic and rock scene and ignore the fine Hip Hop that has come from the borough. Biggie Smalls, Jay Z and Talib Kwali just to name a few all were born and raised in Brooklyn so to pay homage we have Mixcloud Maestro DJ Sketchy playing a Brooklyn Hip Hop Set!

Bloomsbury’s resident DJ duo Max Bant were itching to get involved in the party so they will be contributing a Brooklyn inspired Indie/Alternative set (expect Lou Reed by the barrel load).
As well as Brooklyn music we also wanted to bring the best produce Brooklyn has to offer. We have teamed up with Brooklyn Breweries and White Rock to serve you the best Brooklyn cocktails and beers that are guaranteed to have your thirst quenched!

The Bloomsbury Diner will also be receiving a Brooklyn twist, we will be serving Brooklyn Bagels and Coney Island hot dogs all night!
Whilst ALL this is happening make sure you get yourself over to the outside smoking area where we will be having live graffiti artists turning our ‘infamous’ wall into a graffiti artists Mecca and the artists will also be doing live tagging and custom-made t-shirt prints for you to take away.

Grafiti isn’t the only art on display as we have teamed up with The New York Photo Festival to display our personal favourites from their Capture Brooklyn exhibition.

Brooklyn Industries supplying the finest Brooklyn industrial designed garms will be giving away vouchers for you on the night so you can get a fresh set of attire the Brooklyn way!

Laird London will be in the venue selling gentleman’s authentic Brooklyn hats.

This is not just a club night this is a Bloomsbury club night. So get yourself down here to have the biggest party in New York.....in London.
