★ Which Way Is Up! #3 ★
★ Baaneex ★
http://baaneex.com/
Baaneex are the latest signings to Odd Box Records. The band hail from Hackney in East London. They were tipped as 'ones to watch in 2011' by Sounds XP. Describing themselves as “Dracula-inspired garage punk/noisepop/roarcore”. Their live shows are a rollercoaster of noise and energy. Part punk, part pop, all heart.
"Their sound is somewhat wide-spanning and incredibly difficult to pin down. Weird Dance 2 is two songs, or two bands even, in one.... It’s chaotic and confusing, but exciting, fun and even manages to be catchy. I’m pretty sure I don’t understand it, and God knows where they’re planning to go with it, but regardless, this is great. Just give it a bloody listen. " - Basement Forever
★ The Notes★

The Notes are Sam, Lauren, Aaron and their vintage drum machine.
They make music for your heart and ears. Their debut album has recently surfaced as a beautiful double 10" on Bleeding Gold Records. Their reverb soaked indiepop has found a place in our hearts. I can not wait to see them in action!
★ Chips For The Poor★

Chips For The Poor will startle you. In a good way. Like a mind bending mix of The Fall and a drunk kickboxer. They're everything that is great about pop music in 2011. This will be their first UK show after returning from SXSW in Austin, TX.
''The vibe is lo-fi electronic punk that nods to Suicide, The Fall and The Talking Heads but carries a humour more present in modern new wavers such as simian mobile disco. This is a seven inch that will turn a few heads' - Rough Trade
'It's a banger' - Huw Stephens, Radio 1
