On Friday November 25th, Or8 Our Kids III takes place at The Greystones, Sheffield. Following on from the success of past events in 2006 and 2008, the charity fundraising night will once again feature a collection of musicians brought together by a mutual appreciation of the work of Richard Hawley.
Born from an idea on Richard's website forum, previous gigs have featured an eclectic line up of live music, including some covers of Richard's songs, and Or8 Our Kids III will be no different.
There will once again be performances from The Lonesome & Penniless Cowboys, Dave Woodcock & The Dead Comedians, M&J Blues, Dave Sleney, plus Or8 debuts for Roaming Son and Joe Armitage. There will possibly be some collaborative surprises in store too.
Past events have included guest performances from Richard himself and also 'Uncle' Frank White. Expect plenty to please fans of old time country, Western swing, blues, ballads, rock 'n' roll with a dash of pop as well.
The event will once again be in aid of the Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity, with half of the proceeds this time also going to Yorkshire Cancer Research.
On the night itself there will be a raffle with many great prizes and other fund raising opportunities too.
Doors open at 7.45pm for an 8pm start.
