Joan of Arc are an experimental indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois. They began in 1995, following the break up of a former band, Cap'n Jazz. Joan of Arc are known for their use of electronics, samples, and multi-track recordings in their songs - some songs on The Gap contained over 100 tracks - although recently they have been writing in more traditional terms. Members of Joan of Arc have been in many other bands including Cap'n Jazz, Friend/Enemy, American Football, Owls, Ghosts and Vodka, Everyoned, and most recently Make Believe and Sharks and Seals.

Hot Club de Paris went on a rampage; they shot up the border guards, hijacked a horse and cart and galloped down the fault line leaving the peasants on the dirt road confused and breathless. They took their shirts off and shrugged in the silence of brand new bloodshed. They danced cheek to cheek with all the pretty girls of the day. They were gentlemen; aloof and serious, camp and devious. They swung for Judas on the red carpet at the awards ceremony. The paparazzi blinded the bystanders with their flash bulbs, whilst Hot Club de Paris slipped into the darknes of the city leaving someone else to figure out the whole contextual mess.

Fists have been writing, fighting and exciting in various bedrooms and rehearsal spaces across Nottingham since 2005. They signed to Hello Thor in 2009 and released their first single, Cockatoo b/w Skit soon after.

Their noisy, joyful, occasionally ramshackle and always ferociously energetic gigs display the Fists sound in all its crisp, fresh, beautifully bruised glory. Sweet vocal harmonies, rich raw power; original, electrifying indie rock.
