We are back with the latest instalment from the world of Funk and Soul. DJ Format will be gracing Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes doors for Funk and Bowl for a very special Funk, Soul and Hip Hop set! He will be joined by the incredible Cantaloop, playing explosive live funk and soul. They are not to be missed! If this was not enough then we will be joined by some of London’s finest Funk and Soul DJ’s: Sir Funk, Jazzwax, DJ Haze, Jimmy James, Otis Waby– who will be keeping the dance floor shaking until the early hours.
DJ Format AKA Matt Ford's debut album "Music For The Mature B-Boy" was one of the slowburn success stories of 2002. An album of soulful, funk fuelled hip hop packed with infectious beats and lyrical dexterity, it delivered in spades on the promise of his early releases for Mo' Wax and Bomb Hip Hop. Received with quiet acclaim in the press it quickly became a word of mouth triumph, going on to establish itself as one of the most successful debut artist album's in UK hip hop/alternative urban/dance scene. With a second album and a string of astounding Mix albums DJ Format is still in full flow and will be stamping his grooves and styles all over Bloomsbury Bowling lane.

Cantaloop will be continuing their mission to provide 800% of iFunk with a satisfaction guarantee! Fronted by the iFunk messenger Dannie Dee with his trusted iFunk doctors 100C on guitar, Paulo De’Wooton on bass. The Cantaloop Brotherhood always let the people Know “I Funk therefore I am” Cantaloop are a true urban Funk outfit. Often described as 'one of the best live bands out there' this sees them ever pushing the boundaries in their genre and treating us to their unique 'iFunk' song craft. And tonight we bring them to you!
If these two names weren’t enough we also have the London Funk DJ’s: Sir Funk, Jazz Wax, DJ Haze, Jimmy James and Otis Waby putting their own stamp on proceedings with some more grooves to delight the ears of all our party goers. Blend all this auditory entertainment with a unique venue that includes bowling, karaoke, a cinema screen and of course a well stocked bar then all the ingredients are in place for a top rate night of funky, soulful partying.
