Outsider Pop and Audio Antihero presents: "If We All Died in Brixton", an EP launch for "The Wrong Life" by Paul Hawkins & The Awkward Silences

PAUL HAWKINS & THEE AWKWARD SILENCES
Paul Hawkins & The Awkward Silences formed in 2005 as an initial collaboration between outsider pop musician Paul Hawkins and Death in Vegas guitarist turned producer Ian Button. Five guitars, three bassists and two keyboardists later, the band have released two albums and numerous singles to critical acclaim and have a small but much appreciated cult following in the UK, US, Holland, Belgium and France.
New EP "The Wrong Life" will be released on Audio Antihero Records in the Summer of 2011.

DAVID CRONENBERG’S WIFE
DCW are a band that deserves to be treasured – and not just for their fabulous moniker. Raw, early-80s, Fall-fried sounds clash with Tom Mayne’s incisive lyrics – which come-on equal-parts sardonic, wide-eyed and bitter. The punk-edged carnival of mental breakdown that you can dance to.
“bitterly humorous lyrics.. a mix of The Fall’s 80s rockabilly inspired ‘Grotesque’ and the Velvet Underground” - NME
“For sheer scope and lyrical intensity, David Cronenberg’s Wife have made one of the best albums of the year.” - The Fly
‘Where genius meets idiocy” - Mark Lamarr, BBC Radio 2
“Sarcastic, sardonic and articulate… I can guarantee once you’ve heard this, it will stay in your head all day.” - Music Week

WARTGORE HELLSNICKER
Blurring the sounds of Sub Pop's early "Primal Rock" assault (Mudhoney, Tad, Blood Circus, Green River, "Bleach") with brass/funk lunacy of Mr Bungle and the impassioned yelp of early Modest Mouse Wartgore Hellsnicker's “Moderate Rock” EP is an unpredictable (and frankly fun) record that offers “ugly music for ugly people”.
They are the masters of "noise rock party chaos".
"A strange and addictive amalgam of grunge, jazz and blistering noise" - 8/10."- The Music Fix

JACK HAYTER
Jack has been a member of various bands, including Spongefinger, Hefner and Dollboy. He writes and sing songs.

THE COUNT OF CHATEAU NOIR
Little is known about the Count of Chateau Noir and that which we do know tends to be mixed up in fable and fantasy. However, those close to the Count say that he takes an interest in myths, legends and folktales and takes some interest in the sexier aspects of quantum mechanics.
Musically and lyrically the Count draws influence from Momus, Faultline, Babybird, Leonard Cohen and Tim Ten Yen.
