Exploring music from Latin America
Matices Latinos is a captivating acoustic quartet that explores the many folkloric and popular musical genres that characterize the colourful and vibrant Latin American culture.
The expressive and rhythmic approach to their repertoire, provides a musical journey that will make you experience the true Latin American sentiment, as well as the diversity and richness of its music.
Lead by outstanding Colombian singer Luz Elena Caicedo, and musically directed by multi-percussionist Wilmer Sifontes from Venezuela, the group deliver an array of different musical styles from countries such as Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, Peru and Argentina, touching on the different eras of the Latin repertoire, whilst maintaining a fresh and contemporary sound.
